Ducati Monster 821 enthusiasts now have another reason to be excited: custom builder Bandit9 has revealed an extremely limited edition that turns the popular naked bike into a gleaming work of art. Dubbed the Bandit9 Ducati 821 Aluminum Edition, this eye-catching machine boasts hand-polished aluminum bodywork and a carbon-fiber rear cowl.
Just nine of these one-off motorcycles will be produced globally, each taking six months to build. Priced at USD 44,900 (approximately ₹39 lakh), it’s one of the most expensive and rarest Ducatis ever made.
Ducati 821 Gets Aluminum Makeover
Bandit9’s design begins with the standard Ducati Monster 821 frame and its 821 cc Testastretta 11° L‑twin engine. The motor is left unchanged, delivering about 110 hp at 9,250 rpm and 65.9 lb·ft (89 Nm) of torque at 7,750 rpm. Riders can still anticipate the same throttle feel and growl of the Monster 821, but now dressed in a visually appealing aluminium attire.
The crown jewel is the full-length aluminium bodywork, hand-polished to a mirror finish. Bandit9’s artisans have routed all cables internally and reduced visible fasteners to create a smooth, “liquid metal” appearance. A carbon-fiber single-seat cowl provides contrast at the back, and custom details—such as the integrated exhaust, custom foot pegs, and twin Brembo brake discs—reflect its high-end construction.

Underpinning it all is the suspension package, with 43 mm Sachs forks at the front and an adjustable Sachs monoshock at the rear, its tune set to cater to mountain roads as well as city streets. Stopping courtesy of dual 320 mm Brembo monobloc calipers at the front and a 245 mm disc at the rear. The kerb weight comes in at approximately 175 kg (386 lb)—light enough to be nimble, yet heavy enough to highlight the strong aluminum frame.
Each bike is hand‑built to order, with a six‑month waiting time from Bandit9’s Vietnamese workshop. There are only nine in production, so collectors and enthusiasts will have to move swiftly. The USD 44,900 price point makes it more of a ridable sculpture than a practical commuter, but for the exclusivity and artistry it offers, it is the ultimate custom motorcycle art.
Conclusion
The Bandit9 Ducati 821 Aluminum Edition reimagines Ducati’s beloved Monster 821 as a sleek, futuristic sculpture on two wheels. By marrying the proven Testastretta engine with hand‑crafted aluminium panels and high‑end components, Bandit9 has created a masterpiece that commands attention—and a seven‑figure price in Indian rupees.
If you’re looking for a truly exclusive ride that blends performance with art, this nine‑unit series is unmatched. No matter where it ends up on exhibition or traverses miles along curving roads, it’ll become legendary in its own right.
