TVS Motor is ready to introduce its first-ever adventure touring motorcycle, the Apache RTX 300, likely in August 2025. The motorcycle was revealed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, and media reports indicate TVS is set to introduce it in just a month or two.
TVS RTX 300 Adventure: Engine and Performance
The RTX 300 will come with TVS’s new RT‑XD4 299 cc engine, a liquid-cooled single-cylinder one. The engine produces about 35 PS at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm torque at 7,000 rpm, with a six-speed gearbox and an assist-and-slipper clutch to improve shifting smoothness. It is a major upgrade from earlier RTX variants and aims to compete against the KTM 250 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
TVS RTX 300 Adventure: Design and Touring Focus
Based on a trellis frame bolt-on rear subframe, the RTX 300 features upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock for comfort on tours. With 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, it is more inclined towards road touring than extreme off-road ([Autocar India][3]). Its styling—sharp semi-fairing, tall windscreen, split seats, and a beak fender—is inspired by European adventure tourers such as the Triumph Tiger.
TVS RTX 300 Adventure: Features and Electronics
TVS will probably load the RTX 300 with rider-oriented electronics. Features expected are a colour TFT dashboard with Bluetooth and navigation, ride-by-wire throttle, riding modes in multiples, switchable traction control, dual-channel ABS, and even cruise control and a quick shifter. TVS’s newer bikes in the 310 cc segment have shown their capability to provide high-end features even on mid-size motorcycles.
TVS RTX 300 Adventure: Launch Timing and Pricing
The RTX 300 will come to India in August 2025, with launch next month or thereabouts. Expected pricing is between ₹2.60 lakh and ₹2.90 lakh (ex-showroom), sandwiched between the KTM 250 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
TVS RTX 300 Adventure: Who Is It For and Competitors
The TVS RTX 300 is targeted at commuters who desire a low-cost touring bike with contemporary features. It is expected to find favor among those moving up from bikes such as the XPulse 200 or seeking entry-level adventure touring without the hefty price. Its key rivals are the KTM 250 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and possibly even the KTM 390 Adventure X, subject to specific pricing.

With its fresh 300‑cc motor, aggressive touring style, high-end electronics, and aggressive pricing, the TVS Apache RTX 300 might redefine the Indian adventure bike market. A launch in August 2025 can be expected, and if TVS does a good job, this might be one of the most interesting new bikes for this year.
